Snowstorm = No biking

Too much snow in the latest storm to be out on the bike so I have teaken the dogs hiking the last couple days. We had fresh tracks at the park today on most of the trails. A pretty good New England 'Bluebird' day!

I am a 34 year old male with Type 1 diabetes. I am an avid cyclist, and enthusiast of outdoor adventures. I use an insulin pump, continuous glucose monitor and a glucose meter to allow me to do things I have always been told I could not do. I am using this blog to help inspire others to do the same. I will upload data from various activities such as bike races and rides, hiking and even work and rest days to illustrate how I use the tools above to control my diabetes. I will include as much nutrition, exercise, insulin, and blood glucose information as possible so readers can get as much out of my experiences as desired.

Diabetes is not a disease that will prevent you from doing the things you love. With a little extra effort, and the willingness to understand what today's technology offers, you can do anything. Period.
