It's in!

Got a new project in the mail today... Thank you Totally Wired Cyclery! Will post pictures when I'm done building it. Too bad there is about a 3 foot snow pack right now :-(

I am a 34 year old male with Type 1 diabetes. I am an avid cyclist, and enthusiast of outdoor adventures. I use an insulin pump, continuous glucose monitor and a glucose meter to allow me to do things I have always been told I could not do. I am using this blog to help inspire others to do the same. I will upload data from various activities such as bike races and rides, hiking and even work and rest days to illustrate how I use the tools above to control my diabetes. I will include as much nutrition, exercise, insulin, and blood glucose information as possible so readers can get as much out of my experiences as desired.

I am not a doctor or CDE, please DO NOT change settings on your insulin pump, or change anything in your diet or plan based on my blog. These are my settings, and I do not recommend changing anything without consulting your doctor or CDE.

Diabetes is not a disease that will prevent you from doing the things you love. With a little extra effort, and the willingness to understand what today's technology offers, you can do anything. Period.
